I’m sure there are a few people (okay, three people) who have wondered where I suddenly vanished off to for the past week+.
Well, I just moved. Yes. That means I have a new address to give to a few of you.
Anywho, I called up about a two weeks ago to open up a phone account through Verizon in the new place. Of course, Verizon hates their customers, so I get the run around. I have to go through all of these erroneous steps to prove that I do indeed exist, will pay them, and have a home to live in. Now, they tell me that after I rushed to fax them everything and pay their advance deposits, I have to wait until the 27th for service to work.
See? Verizon hates their customers.
They’re also telling me that I can’t just transfer my previous DSL contract from the old house to the new house. I have to open an ALL NEW one and repoint my username and password. What does that mean, in essence?
1. Talking to women in India for tech help who can’t do anything to help me but read the same lines from a screen as I try to reinstall another DSL modem.
2. Paying for all new reconnection fees, a new one year contract, a new box, and a new line.
I shudder to think of going through that again.
So, I don’t think I’ll have this mess sorted out until well into May. Because, apparently, I have to wait until the 27th to even have a phone. Ugh. I’ll get it worked out, though.
Even worse… my hair is a mess because my hair dryer is packed away and I don’t know where. Also awful… my cell phone charger is, too, so that thing is dead and empty. At least I have something to pass my time, though. Alfred bought me a pink Nintendo DS, so I play that instead of surf online. I need to go get his birthday presents soon. I know two things that I want to get him, I just have to stop being so lazy and get them.
It doesn’t help that I’m sick again. My second cold this season. Only a week of good health. That is why my mother is worried that I have something more serious like pnemonia. It doesn’t matter. Not at all.
But, good things do happen.
I got into HIST495- Topics in Roman History.

Ya need to give me your new number
you dont have to tell me that verizon hates their customers! my e-mail is the SUCK. it auto deletes stuff, even if i put it in a special “save” folder! and yeah, any connection problems… forget it!
well, good luck moving! that, too, is sucky. putting all o your stuff away and not knowing immediately where things are just to unbox it and have crap all over the place… BLEH! have fun with that.
